Get On the Path to DeFi

For the first time, JavaScript developers can write safe smart contracts on chain while tapping into external data. Come see how Agoric’s new JavaScript smart contract platform executes the secure exchange of assets in your contracts. Plus, you’ll have access to our network of developers who are preparing for the DeFi composability explosion coming when Agoric launches mainnet next year.

Core Agoric and Chainlink engineers will kick off the hackathon with a half day of exciting and informational workshops and talks. You’ll get front-row access on how to design and execute complex transactions with efficient, reusable code. We will also be holding office hours throughout the hackathon to help you get up and running, as well as guide you on how best to launch your ideas in the Agoric platform!

New to Blockchain?

Don’t fret. As long as you have previous JavaScript experience, our live coding sessions will teach you about money markets, how to set up your coding environment, how to build your first DeFi component, and so much more. What are you waiting for?

Prizes

Hack the Orb prizes are open to all participating teams. All submissions must include an end-to-end walkthrough of a user experience and code discussion. Working demos are a bonus. Prize winners will have an opportunity to work with the Agoric team to launch on mainnet and highlighted across our community channels.

Ignite Award - Best DeFi Dapp Best decentralized finance dapp using the Chainlink oracle.

Revelation Award - Best New Dapp Best new use case in the Agoric ecosystem with the Chainlink oracle.

Refract Award - Best User Experience Best design and user experience for a dapp.
